Whether you're just starting out or refining your turns, our online courses are designed to give you clarity, structure, and a genuine sense of progress — wherever you surf and however often you get in the water.

How do self guided programs work?

Our self-guided programs are structured, pre-recorded courses you can take in your own time, from anywhere.

  • Lifetime access
  • Surf-specific, no-BS instruction
  • Follow-along practice drills
  • Created by surfers, for surfers
  • Designed to complement — not replace — your time in the water

Each course is built around the idea of progress: small steps that stack up over time. Whether you're starting from scratch or fine-tuning something specific, these are tools you’ll come back to again and again.

Our self guided courses are for those surfers who like to take their time, in a non-pressured or time-dependent environment, to contemplate, implement, and then achieve surf progression.

The Surfer's Roadmap™ works.

Tangible, observable progress across thousands of students.

The Surfer's Roadmap is a surfing curriculum.

"Growing up, I had surf coaches who shared the same advice over and over again regardless of whether or not it was relevant or understood by me and my fellow competitors. My surfing, as a result, took a long time to improve and pretty much stagnated from my late teens to my mid twenties.

When I started teaching surfing, and having to reverse engineer the technical aspects of the sport, my surfing began progressing again! It was only with the new understanding, grounded in roadmap foundations, that I could build upon and iron out the old techniques that were holding me back.

You can improve your surfing by learning it theoretically. I believe I am proof of that and I now have thousands of students from all over the world who can attest to it."

FAQs

Do I need to be at a certain level to take a course?

Not at all. Each course is designed around specific stages of the surf journey — beginner, intermediate, advanced — so you can simply choose the one that fits your current level.

How long do I have access to the course?

Forever. One-time payment = lifetime access. You can rewatch lessons as often as you like, across all devices.

Is this like a YouTube channel or free tutorial site?

No. These courses are structured roadmaps — with specific progressions, technical breakdowns, and guided drills. It’s a step-by-step learning system, not a collection of random tips.

What if I’m already taking surf lessons in person?

Perfect. These courses are built to complement in-water coaching. They help you understand the “why” behind what your coach is teaching, and give you drills and language to accelerate your learning.

Do I need any special equipment?

All your normal surfing gear for your practical application. For the Surfskate Program, you’ll need a surfskate. Some modules also include land-based drills or visualisation work.

What if I live somewhere with small or inconsistent waves?

No worries. A lot of surfers who use our programs live in wave-starved regions or only surf on holidays. That’s exactly why we created these self-paced, land-supported programs — so you can stay sharp between sessions.
